Assistant Director, Dance Teacher,  Receptionist:

ALICIA JACKVONY

This is my 20th year as staff member at TTP, but my 32nd year as a dancer. Throughout my years of dancing I have had many wonderful experiences including competing successfully in various dance competitions, participating in many eye opening dance conventions, and performing in Disney 3 times.  As a child dancing, was IT for me!  I did not play sports or take gymnastics, my heart belonged to dancing.  I felt free when I was in dance class, all of my worries and troubles just disappeared.  Even when I attended college and worked part time I made time to keep attending dance classes.

All of these years of dancing all came together when I joined the TTP family 20 years ago.  Upon joining TTP, I was given countless opportunities and was encouraged to express my creativity and talent in dancing.  I felt like I was a part of a family, but it was a family that had the same love of dance that I had.

I was also given the opportunity to become a dance teacher at TTP.  After my first class of teaching dance I knew this was what I wanted to do and I know that I belonged here at TTP!!  I knew I wanted to teach dance to all ages in all styles of dance and I knew I wanted to pass of love of dance on to all of my students.

Instantly, Mrs.Sheri and I clicked and we just took off finding ways to make TTP be the best dance studio it can be.  Nothing makes me prouder then watching my students perform on stage.  I just love the hugs I receive when students greet me before class.  I truly love teaching each and every student I have, but I also love what I learn from my students.  Nothing is better than when I look into my students eyes and I see that same love for dance that I have.

Now I am taking on a new role in dancing as the mother of my young dancers; my daughter Gracyn and son Maddox.  I love watching them in class and the joy it brings to them.  There is no other dance studio in world I would want my children to learn the art and dance and grow as a dancer then TTP.   Now I can truly say I understand all sides of dancing: the dancer, the teacher and the mother of a dancer.  I love every side of dance equally.

On a personal level, I have earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a minor in Communications from Bryant College.   I have been married to my husband Vinnie for 12 years. As stated, we have two beautiful children.  In my spare time I love cooking and trying new recipes.  I enjoy nothing more than a long day at the beach with my family and friends.  On the other hand, I also enjoy a cozy snow day where we all stay in our pajamas all day and just watch the snow fall.  My goal as a mother is to soak up and enjoy every minute of my children while they are young because they grow up so fast.

In all, my goal is to be appreciative and not take things for granted.

Mrs. Alicia

Assistant Technical Director * Music Editor * Dance Teacher* Receptionist:

LIZ WEBSTER

I love music, fashion, and most of all DANCE! I attended Cranston High School West and studied business at CCRI. I've been dancing since I was 6 years old, where Mrs Sheri was actually my very first dance teacher. After many years, I changed studios and found Mrs. Sheri again at To The Pointe! I've been here ever since!

This is my 11th year as a teacher at To The Pointe, I work full time for Mrs. Sheri and I can't picture myself doing anything else. I don't look at teaching dance as my "job" but simply as something that I love to do.

I love teaching all ages starting at 18 months old. One of my favorite things about being a dance teacher is being creative with choreography. Trying new things and being innovative with dance is something I truly love to do. I have enjoyed choreographing routines for our shows, whether it be our Annual Performances, Cruise performances, or Destination performances.

When I am not at the studio, I love to spend time with my family; Kevin, our daughter, Lola, and son Jameson, and our kitten, Harley. Also, I love going to the beach, the movies and spending time with my friends.

This past year I have had the opportunity for the first time to be a parent on the other side of the viewing window. Seeing my daughter thrive in her first year of dance has been an amazing experience.

I have made some great friendships and relationships here at TTP, it really is my "home away from home", and I hope to pass on my passion and love for dance to all of my students for a very long time!

Miss Liz

Dance Teacher/Office Manager/Receptionist:

DENISE VITI

I have been a dancer since I was 6 years old. It has always been my passion. I never got involved with sports or any other activities because all I ever wanted to do was dance. My best dance memory was when I got the chance to dance in Disney World.

Mrs. Sheri and I have been great friends for years. We danced together for many years before she even opened TTP. We even became certified dance instructors together through DEA. Most of all, we always had such a great time together. Shortly after she opened TTP, I couldn't imagine a better dance studio to teach at. What I didn't realize is that I would be joining a family.

I enjoy working Full Time at TTP as a teacher and as a receptionist doing what I love. Away from the studio,  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In the summertime, I love going to the beach and hanging out by the pool. In the colder months, I love snuggling up with my daughter and watching movies. I also love to shop!

Being a part of the staff at TTP is wonderful. When I open the doors of the studio I feel like I am home. No matter if I am teaching, working at the reception desk or running around back stage at the recitals, I feel so lucky to be a part of this studio.

I look forward to many more years to come.

Ms. Denise

Receptionist:

ANGELA ASPEEL

This is my 16th year here at TTP as a staff member but my time at TTP began 19 years ago when I was just a regular dance mom. I earned a degree in psychology from Rhode Island College but was very fortunate to have been able to be a stay-at-home mom of my two girls until I began to work here at the studio. My absolute favorite part of my job is being given the opportunity to meet so many wonderful families and interact with them on a regular basis.

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many of you and being able to watch your children grow over the years! I hope that parents and students alike see me as friendly, approachable and easy to talk to. I want to help make your experience at To The Pointe the best it can be, so please never hesitate to come to me with any questions or concerns! My goal for anyone who enters the studio is for them to feel totally welcome & at home and to leave feeling fully informed.

When I'm not at the studio, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, my pets (a dog and 2 cats), reading, exercising and cooking (as many of you are aware since I never shy away from discussing recipes!). I have been married to my husband Greg for pretty much all of eternity (slight exaggeration) and we are both very proud of our two daughters, Karina, teacher at TTP, and Cristi, RI College Graduate and former TTP dancer.

Mrs. Angela

Dance Teacher & Receptionist:

JESSICA  FRENCH

This is my 14th year teaching at To The Pointe. I have been dancing for 30 years, since I was 3. Through dance, I have been able to experience performing in Walt Disney World, on a Cruise Ship, in Parades, and on stage multiple times. In 2003, I graduated from RIC with a degree in Elementary Education, and I feel like teaching dance combines the two things I love most: dancing and children. I love being able to translate my love of the art to my students, no matter how young or old.

To The Pointe has been a second family to me. They provide such a warm and friendly atmosphere for everyone who walks through their doors. Mrs. Sheri was my dance teacher for many years and she gave me the confidence to pursue my abilities here at To The Pointe.

When I'm not at the studio, you can find me serving pizza at Uncle Tony's, spending time with my husband Rich and my family and enjoying a relaxing moment here and there (when there is time for one of course!).

To The Pointe will always be my home away from home, and I look forward to many more memories here.

Mrs Jessica

Dance Teacher/Stage Manager:

JENNIFER LARSH

I have been dancing here at TTP for 19 years and prior to that I had started dance at the age of 10. I furthered my education first by attending St. Mary's Academy-Bay View and participated in their annual Cabaret, which was a very rewarding experience. I attended RIC and began my journey in early childhood education where I now teach preschool at Saint Paul School in Cranston.

I enjoy spending time with my husband Joe, and our two children, Emma and Ryan. I love being a part of the TTP family because we promote an educational and nurturing environment. I feel fortunate to share my joy of dance with my daughter and watch her grow as a performer as well.

When I’m not at the Studio or school, I enjoy being with my family, going to the beach, reading, and baking some yummy treats!

As a student, teacher and parent, I am able to be a part of every aspect of TTP and I hope to continue that for many more years.
Mrs. Jen

Dance Teacher:

KARINA ASPEEL

I started dancing at age 3 where Mrs. Sheri was one of my first dance teachers and then became a student at To The Pointe when I was 9. Dance has always been something that I love to do. The idea of now being able to pass my passion and knowledge of dance to my students makes me feel extremely honored. To The Pointe has given me memories and friendships that will last a lifetime!

I am a graduate of Paul Mitchell The School for Cosmetology. Along with teaching at TTP,  I work at Studio B Salon as the Front Desk Coordinator and am currently attending business school.

I look forward to another successful year at TTP and many more to come!

Dance Teacher/Fitness Instructor:

SARAH DURVIN

I began dancing at age 3, and although I tried many other sports and activities, dance was always my favorite, the one activity I continued year after year. I started dancing at To The Pointe when I was 13 years old, and immediately understood what a special place this studio is. It was, and still is, one of my favorite places to be. Over the years I have taken time off from dancing here to go to college and travel, but each time I return, I am warmly welcomed back into the TTP family.

I graduated from Salve Regina University with a degree in Elementary Education. I am also a personal trainer and certified group exercise instructor through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America. I love working with children and being active, so teaching here at TTP is the perfect fit!

Dance is an important part of my life and I am excited to share my love of dancing with others!

Miss Sarah

JORDAN BIRTLES

I started dancing at To The Pointe when I was three years old, making To The Pointe my second home for 18 years now. Being a major part of my life for so long, I have made so many great friendships and connections through dance, and had some of the best memories within the studio. Working as both a teacher and receptionist has only bettered my experience at To The Pointe, and I genuinely love working with all of the students and families. Going into my third year of teaching, I’m looking forward to continuing to pass on my love for dance to my students.

Outside of the studio, I am now a junior at Johnson and Wales University, where I am majoring in Baking and Pastry Arts. Besides dance, my main other passion is decorating cakes!

I look forward to many more years and memories at To The Pointe!

NICOLE LACOMBE

The moment I put my first pair of ballet shoes on at age 3, I knew dance was meant for me.  Entering my 14th year of dance, I have developed a passion and love for dance that I hope to share with each and every child I teach. To The Pointe has helped me blossom into the dancer, teacher, and person I am today. Dance is a large part of my life. The studio is where I share some of my closest friendships and my fondest memories. I have Mrs Sheri and her staff to truly thank for a studio where I along with many others, feel as though it is a family.

As I begin my first year of teaching I have an overwhelming sense of excitement and gratitude. I am forever grateful I can share my love of dance with so many. I have truly fallen in love with teaching.

I am currently a senior at Exeter-West Greenwich High School. After graduating I plan to attend Rhode Island College where I will major in elementary education. I can not wait for the many more years to come at To The Pointe!

I have been dancing at To the Pointe since I was three years old, and I have enjoyed every year since then. The atmosphere, and staff which I grew up with shaped me to love, and appreciate dance which has become the most important part of my life. As I enter my first year of teaching,

I am forever thankful for the support I receive from Mrs. Sheri, and the entire staff. As the 20th year begins, I can say that teaching dance has become something I love, and am extremely dedicated to. I strive to help every child I teach feel as if they are apart of not only a dance company, but a second family where they can feel comfortable, and confident at all times.

I currently attend Cranston High School West, and plan to attend Rhode Island College where I will major in dance, and minor in theater. I plan to work with children throughout the entirety of my dance career, and am forever thankful for the opportunity Mrs. Sheri has given me to begin teaching!

I started dancing at the age of 3. I have tried other sports such as soccer and gymnastics, but I always found myself wanting to dance. To The Pointe gives me so many opportunities such as dancing in Disney World and dancing on a cruise ship next summer.

This has given me the chance to see how much hard work goes into running a successful studio. I love working with the students in my classes. It is wonderful to see them learn and grow throughout the year!

The teachers and staff are so welcoming and have made me feel like I am truly part of a family.

I am currently a Senior at Coventry High School where am part of the dance team. I like to spend my free time with my family and my dog Lily.

MADDIE PIZZUTTI

I started dancing at To The Pointe when I was three years old. Even though I was young, I immediately realized dancing was my passion and this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Once I entered high school, I discovered another passion: teaching dance and choreographing. Watching my students fall in love with dance at the same place I did so many years ago is the most amazing thing to see!

I danced and worked at TTP right up until I went off to college in 2015. At Roger Williams University, I was able to continue my love for dance through my dance minor and being a RWU Dance Club member. I graduated RWU in May of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am a second grade teacher at Saint Paul School in Cranston.

I am so excited to be back at the studio doing what I love most! I have so much gratitude for TTP for giving me my dance family and so many wonderful memories I will truly remember forever!

APRIL OLMSTEAD

I have been with TTP since 2007 as the mother of 2 dancers.   We started here with Tiny Toes and Creative Movement!  I  have loved watching my daughters grow and thrive in a warm and nurturing dance atmosphere. I enjoyed it so much I wanted to work here! I have worked as a receptionist with TTP since 2011.

Dancing has always been a part of my life,  having  danced since age 3.  I am proud of having been able to dance the role of Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio at age 7 and competing with my line dance team "Shut Up And Dance" placing 2nd at the World’s Competition in 2000. Dancing has always been a part of my life and I always hoped my daughters would love dance, too.
My husband and I met even through my dance friends!

I left nursing in 2003 to be a stay at home mother and I am fortunate to be home with my three children.  My full time job is homeschooling my children and managing our 24 chickens, a dog, a cat, 2 parakeets, a fish and some hermit crabs (though the children do help out with all the animals!),   I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, baking, sewing and scrapbooking.

I love being a part of the TTP family!  I look forward to another year helping our dancers and their families have a great dance experience here at TTP.

Mrs. April

My first experience with TTP was to attend a Zumba class for Girl Scouts back in 2012. I absolutely loved it and continue to still take weekly classes. My 2 daughters 14 & 16 also take dance classes here at TTP since 2013 and absolutely love it.

This is my 5th year as a receptionist and I am very thankful to have been asked to be part of the TTP family. I am looking forward to working with our students and their families each week!
Other than taking Zumba classes, I enjoy spending time with my kids and camping.

HEATHER BAILEY

I have been with TTP for 10 years as a mom of two dancers.  My oldest daughter started in 2009 in the tiny toes level as well as my youngest in 2011.  They both love dance and have gained such confidence here at TTP.

As my girls got older and started to take more classes I thought maybe I should see if I could help out as a receptionist.  This has been my first year at the desk I enjoy meeting and getting to know the dancers and their parents.  I look forward to many more years at TTP.
